Valdemossa

Valdemossa, a beautiful village in the mountains, not far from Soller or Palma. You can get there by bus, line 210. The 13th century monastery has links to the Polish composer Frederic Chopin, who spent a winter at that place together with the French writer George Sand. It was originally a residence of royals and changed into a monastery in 1399. 

Valdemossa, ein hübscher Ort in den Bergen, nicht weit von Soller oder Palma. Man kann per Bus, Linie 210 einfach dorthin gelangen. Das im 13. Jahrhundert erbaute Kloster war ursprünglich eine Residenz für den Adel, im Jahr 1399 wurde es in ein Kloster umgewidmet. Es gibt Links zum Polnischen Komponisten Frederic Chopin, der mit der Schriftstellerin George Sand einen Winter dort verbrachte.

Almost every house has this plaques as a memory of Catalina Thomas, she was Mallorca's patron saint and was born in the village of Musa Valley (Valdemossa) in 1531.
